1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Sophie R Cleaning, ABN 19 949 501 600 ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through CleanInvoice (cleaninvoice.com.au).

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Questions or requests about your data can be sent to support@cleaninvoice.com.au.

2. What we collect

CategoryExamples
Account informationName, email address, password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider)
Business informationYour business name, and any details you add to your invoice template (logo, colours, contact details)
Invoice dataLine items, amounts, dates, and the name and contact details of the customers you invoice
Usage dataBasic technical data like device/browser type and general activity within the app, used only to keep the Service working and secure

Where you enter personal information about your own customers into an invoice, you are the one collecting that information from them — we're processing it on your behalf so the Service works, in the same way any invoicing tool would.

3. How we use it

We don't use your data to serve ads, and we don't sell it to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

Your account and invoice data is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, in the Northeast Asia (Seoul) region. The CleanInvoice website itself is hosted by Netlify.

If any of your data is stored or processed outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it's handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, as required by APP 8.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run CleanInvoice, under terms that require them to protect it:

We don't share your data with anyone else except where required by law, or with your consent.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and database access controls that ensure your data is only accessible to your own account (server-enforced, not just hidden in the interface). No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to retain records for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
